Meal prep in Miami

Built for a county where the heat is part of every delivery.

Miami buys meal prep the way it buys gym memberships — year round. Brickell and Downtown fill with people who work long hours and do not cook, South Beach and Mid-Beach run on training schedules, and the gyms from Wynwood to Doral send a steady stream of customers who want macros counted for them. Mealforma is meal prep software that gives a Miami company one place to sell those plans, take the orders each week and see what the week actually made.

Heat is the delivery problem here, and it lasts most of the year. A driver crossing the MacArthur Causeway at four in the afternoon in August is carrying chilled food through a heat index nothing should sit in, and I-95 or the Palmetto can add half an hour to a run without warning. Mealforma builds each day's route from the orders that are actually in, hands the driver the stops in order with the customer's notes, and records a photo at the door, so a hot afternoon still ends as one list rather than a group chat.

From June into November a storm week rearranges everything. Customers leave, customers stock up, and a delivery day can move. Skips, pauses and delivery windows are things the customer handles in their own account and you change in settings — not an inbox full of messages you answer one at a time. Delivery zones, fees and cut-off times work the same way: most Miami shops start in one part of the county and add another when the orders are there.

Miami-Dade is long. A single company can have customers in Aventura, Brickell, Coral Gables and Kendall, and the towers in between mostly mean a front desk rather than a front door. Drivers need the unit number, the building name and whatever the customer wrote about the loading bay, and they need it on the phone rather than in a text from last month. The stop in the driver app carries the address, the note and the order, and the app keeps working when the garage takes the signal.

A large share of Miami's customers order in Spanish, and plenty switch between languages in the same week. The storefront, the customer account and the emails are translated, and your own menu text can be written in each language you sell in. Most of them want the whole thing on a phone: pick this week's meals, change a delivery address, pause while they travel. None of that has to reach you as a message.

How to start a meal prep business in Florida

Why Miami operators move

Three things we decided, so you do not have to negotiate them.

Built-in AI. Set up in minutes, easy every day.

Your shop is ready the moment you sign up, and your team can run it without training. Then switch on AI wherever it helps: a chat on your website that answers customers from your own menu, an assistant in your admin that finds orders and drafts replies, and recipe import that turns a pasted recipe into macros and labels.

See what the AI does

No percentage of your sales. Ever.

A flat monthly price, and that is the whole bill for the platform. We do not take a cut of your orders, your subscriptions or your growth, and we are not going to add it later.

See pricing

One system, from the shopping cart to the driver.

The menu a customer orders from is the same data the kitchen produces against, the labels print from, and the route is built from. Nothing is re-keyed between tools.

Scope

Meal prep software from the shopping cart to the front door.

Six surfaces that share one catalogue, one set of recipe versions and one order record. Nothing is re-keyed between them.

Storefront and customer portal

A shop your customers order from, and a portal they manage their plan in — both driven by your catalogue rather than a separate website you keep in sync by hand.

Subscriptions and checkout

The part most meal-prep businesses actually run on, modelled properly instead of as a recurring charge with a menu attached.

Kitchen production

What to cook, how much, and from which recipe version — computed from the orders that are actually locked, not from a guess.

Labels and compliance

Labels print from the same recipe and nutrition versions the kitchen produced against, at exact physical size.

Delivery, routing and the driver app

Dispatch that assumes the phone loses signal, because in a delivery van it does.

Admin, staff and the assistant

The back office, with the permissions and the audit trail a business with staff actually needs.

Questions Miami operators ask

Half our customers order in Spanish. Can the storefront be in both languages?

Yes. The storefront, the customer account and the emails are translated, and your own menu text can be written in each language you sell in. A customer picks their language and keeps it; nothing about their plan or their price changes.

Most of our stops are high-rise buildings with a front desk. What does the driver see?

The stop carries the full address with the unit, the customer's own delivery note — the building name, the desk, the loading bay, the code — and the order itself. The driver marks the stop done and can take a photo at the handover. The app holds the day's route on the phone, so a parking garage with no signal does not stop the run.

Hurricane season moves our delivery days. Can customers skip a week themselves?

Yes. A customer can skip or pause a week from their own account, and you can change a delivery day, a cut-off or a delivery window in settings without anyone re-entering orders. Customers who have already ordered for a moved day keep their order; it moves with the day.

Can we charge a different delivery fee for Brickell, Aventura and Kendall?

Yes. You draw the areas you deliver to as zones, and each one has its own delivery days, windows, minimum order and fee. The customer's address decides which zone they are in at checkout, and the day's route is built from the orders inside the zones you are running that day.

What about the health department paperwork?

Mealforma does not file anything for you — in Florida a commercial kitchen is licensed by the state rather than the county, through the Department of Business and Professional Regulation or the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services depending on what you sell. What the software gives you is the record an inspector asks about: which recipe version each batch was cooked from, what went on the label, and when it was produced and delivered.
